REDUCE
FRICTION
In my professional career, my focus has been on reducing friction by building systems that make work smoother, faster, and easier for the people using them every day.
BUILD
USEFUL
While I want to build systems that are enjoyable to use or aesthetically pleasing, my primary focus is on building useful systems that solve real problems and meet the needs of users.
ALWAYS
IMPROVE
Perfection is my goal, and I strive to get as close as possible. The most realistic scenario is to keep improving over time, even if that means making small, incremental changes that add up to big improvements in the long run. I'm committed to continuously learning and growing as a designer and problem solver.

About Me

My name is Adam Hudson. I started my career as an IT Technician, where I spent years troubleshooting systems, helping users, and learning how businesses actually operate day to day. Over time, I found myself less interested in fixing problems manually and more interested in understanding why the problems existed in the first place.

That eventually led me deeper into data, scripting, automation, integrations, and backend systems. Most of my work now focuses on building internal tools, reports, workflow automations, and operational systems using combinations of Python, SQL, and other technologies.

I’m largely self-taught, and much of what I’ve learned came from solving real problems in live environments rather than following traditional engineering paths. I’ve generally focused more on building reliable, practical systems that quietly improve workflows and reduce repetitive work than chasing overly complex or trendy approaches to development.

AtomHUD is a place to show who I am through the things I build, document what I’ve learned, experiment with ideas, and continue improving as an developer.
